This project was a complete redo of the landscape as part of the renovation of a residence in Cambridge. The clients were looking for a clean design that will functional for their growing for years to come. When we began, the back yard was completely overgrown with bamboo. To start we excavated over two feet of soil to eliminate the root mass and reclaim the yard space. We then came back in with clean lines and simple plantings splitting the space between the patio that wraps the house becoming the driveway and a lawn space for the kids to play. We also built a custom shed and AC screen to finish the space.

The front and side was planted as a simple garden. The garden to the right of the front entry was planted with Hydrangea along the house, filling the space in front with Liriope. To the left of the entry we installed a bluestone pathway to the side door, vinca was planted throughout the path to create the feel of a “garden path”. A row of Blue Halcyon Hosta was planted along the neighboring property line to finish out the clean design.
